ISS-UNICEF project in Mexico: New activities despite complex times

As part of its partnership under the joint project initiated in 2019, on 6 May, ISS and UNICEF gave together a remote training on residential care in times of COVID-19 in Mexico.

The training was organised by DIF Nacional – the federal social assistance authority – and reached nearly 300 professionals from a variety of locations across the country and representing federal, state and local-level social assistance and child protection authorities as well as an important number of private organisations and children's homes.

The training focused on the main recommendations to be complied with by managers and carers in residential care during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the practical tools and guides available to them to put the latter into practice.
