You are here: News ISS/IRC in Guinea Conakry for a training of judges and other actors of the child protection system - 18-19 October 2018
From 18 to 19 October 2018, the ISS/IRC had the opportunity to provide a training to a group of 23 actors from the child protection and adoption system in Guinea Conakry.
Following a first training mission for members of the Guinean Central Authority and social workers in 2017, this second training has expanded its audience, particularly to juvenile judges, law enforcement officials and lawyers.
The training was part of the reforms initiated by Guinea in the field of child protection and national as well as intercountry adoption, and focused on the following topics: international standards on the rights of children deprived of their family, actors and cooperation issues, adoptability, matching and illicit practices in intercountry adoptions.
The ISS/IRC welcomes the positive outcomes of this workshop as well as the fruitful exchanges and discussions that will hopefully contribute effectively to ongoing reforms.
