ISS had the honour to partner with Euroadopt in the organisation of their bi-annual meeting with 300 adoption stakeholders primarily from Europe but also Africa and the Americas.
ISS presented on the importance of gathering as much information about the life of the child before his or her adoption (alternative care) as one way to facilitate more robust adoptions as well uphold the right of the child to identity and access his or her origins. ISS likewise presented its innovative work on adoption breakdowns, explaining the practical tools available to prevent and respond appropriately to this phenomena. ISS looks forward to continuing to work with all to ensure adoptions are carried out in a way that responds to the individual needs of each child appropriately declared adoptable.
