ISS/IRC Beneficiaries
Throughout the world ISS/IRC deals with agencies and professionals whose function is to protect children deprived of their family, such as the Adoption Central Authorities, adoption accredited agencies, child protection services, international organisations (The Hague Conference on Private International Law, UNICEF, etc.) as well as training and research centres, etc. However, these different child protection actors have various levels of access to ISS/IRC services:
- Authorities and professionals of industrialized country co-financing the ISS/IRC receive all ISS/IRC services (see section “ISS/IRC services”)
- The professionals of industrialized countries which are not donors may receive ISS/IRC Monthly Review by subscription. However the authorities of these countries do not receive any of ISS/IRC services.
- The authorities and professionals of countries in transition and developing countries receive the IRC services free. With a view to international equity, the contributions of industrialized countries cover partially these services. ISS/IRC constituents receive all ISS/IRC services (see section “ISS/IRC services) Any interested person has free access to our Internet website, which is conceived as a tool at the service of the rights of the child.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ISS/IRC IS NOT AN ADOPTION ACREDITED BODY AND THEREFORE DOES NOT PROVIDE DIRECT SERVICES TO PROSPECTIVE ADOPTIVE PARENTS.
Currently, more than 3500 professionals and NGOs from 160 countries are benefiting from part or all ISS/IRC services. The program receives financial support from 20 countries: South Africa, Germany, Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, France, Ireland, Island, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland. ISS/IRC thanks them warmly for their support allowing it to pursue its commitment for the protection of children deprived of their family or at risk of so being.
